Effective date: June 23, 2026
PlugIdle is an idle game made by Nick Overstreet. This policy explains what information the game handles, in plain language. The short version: PlugIdle has no accounts, no sign-in, and does not collect, store, or sell your personal data. The Android and iOS apps show optional, opt-in rewarded ads served by Google AdMob, and offer optional in-app purchases processed by the device's app store (Google Play or the Apple App Store). The web version has no ads.
Your progress is stored only on your device (in the app's local storage / IndexedDB). It is never uploaded to us — we have no servers and no way to see it. You can erase it at any time with the in-game Hard Reset, by clearing the site's data in your browser, or by uninstalling the app. The optional export/import save code exists so you can move progress between devices; it never passes through us.
The Android and iOS versions of PlugIdle show rewarded ads — short videos you can choose to watch in exchange for an in-game bonus. Ads are never forced and never interrupt play. Ads are served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may process device information such as your advertising ID, IP address, approximate (coarse) location, and ad-interaction data, as described in Google's privacy & terms for partners and Google's privacy policy.
If you are in a region that requires it (such as the EEA, UK, or Switzerland), the app asks for your consent before showing ads, using Google's consent flow. On iOS, the app also asks for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking for advertising. You can also reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and Apple Advertising).
Optional purchases (such as boosts, time warps, themes, and the supporter pack) are processed entirely by the app store you bought them from — Google Play on Android or the Apple App Store on iOS. We never see or store your payment details. What you have purchased is recorded in your local save and with the store so it can be restored on a new device. Purchases are governed by Google Play's terms of service or Apple's media services terms; refunds follow that store's refund policy.
The web version at nickoverstreet.github.io/PlugIdle contains no ads, no analytics, and no trackers. It is hosted on GitHub Pages; GitHub may log standard technical request data (like IP addresses) to operate the service, per GitHub's privacy statement. Fonts and all other assets are served from the same site — no third-party requests are made.
PlugIdle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included. Ads in the Android and iOS apps are requested in a manner appropriate to a general audience.
If this policy changes (for example when new features ship), the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Questions or concerns: nickcoverstreet@gmail.com.
